Commercialization
The DoD’s Zero-Carbon-Trail for intelligence gathering, weapons systems and strategic ground support is providing practical and ultra-effective solutions to the ultimate end-game in commercial transportation. Hydrogen as a transport fuel became commercially cost-competitive at $87 per barrel of petroleum. Hydrogen-fueled transportation applications currently include Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Ground Support Equipment (various), Busses, Vans, Tow-tractors, Forklifts and Light Duty Vehicles, including ICEs (internal combustion engines). HydraFLX’s technology platforms have been expanded to include renewable power (wind and solar) for 2008 and new vehicular technologies in 2009.
